Quality French Oak from Tonnellerie Mercier
Mercier Cooperage has evolved constantly since their inception in 1960. Today, Tonnellerie Mercier coopers daily in Barbezieux (Charente, FR), a small village between Cognac and Bordeaux. With their own stave mill, Mercier continues their tradition of quality and consistancy and supports a wide range of barrels and barrel types:
All timber used comes from the best French forrests, where the trees are farmed for quality as well as sustainability.
A strict selection and a minimum of 24 months air drying time ensures a faultless quality of staves. The oak selection and toasting process are made by our master coopers.
F' de Mercier is our premium barrel aimed for longer ageing of powerful wines showing good maturity. The F' de mercier gives the structure more finesse, body to the mid palate, aromatic complexity and a longer finish.
